The Cheshire Police helicopter helped to find a missing man from Winsford
A MISSING man from Winsford has been found and taken to hospital after a helicopter search.
The alarm was raised shortly after 3.30am this morning.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Officers along with support from the police helicopter conducted a number of searches for the man.
"He was located a few hours later in the River Weaver Winsford area and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
Many residents said they were woken up by the helicopter hovering above their homes.
