ANY sports clubs having difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic may be interested in support from Active Cheshire.

The charity believes it can help in many ways.

“Active Cheshire is able to support clubs with advice, support and guidance if needed,” said the organisation’s national partnership’s manager, Amber Lomax.

“I have held a few club support sessions via webinar and have also spoken with a few clubs over the phone who feel they would like specific support.

“Examples may include advice around funding, support with virtual/remote delivery, guidance on safeguarding during virtual sessions, ideas around membership, advice around insurance and support for coaches.”

Amber added: “Additionally, we are trying to understand how we can better support people in the sport and physical activity sector during these challenging times.

“In order to do this, we have created a short online survey. On the back of this we will be tailoring support where possible.

“So if you know anyone in this sector that could help us build a comprehensive picture and wouldn’t mind taking five minutes to complete the survey, that would be great.”
