A MAN has been charged with possession of a knife and beating an emergency services worker following an alleged row among neighbours in Winsford which escalated.
At around 8.30pm on Saturday night a conflict allegedly sparked on Collingtree Avenue in which one man threatened a neighbour with a knife.
The confrontation is said to have erupted due to noise complaints.
A large number of police officers were sent to the scene and arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the incident.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 8.30pm on Saturday 25 April officers were called to reports of a neighbour dispute at an address on Collingtree Avenue, Winsford.
“Officers attended the scene and a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
“Scott Young, of Hungerford Terrace, Crewe, has since been charged with assault by beating of an emergency services worker, possession of a knife in a public place and use of threatening and abusive language.”
Young has since been released on conditional bail and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 28.
