MEMBERS of the public are being given the chance to ask Cheshire Police's top officer questions about the force's response to the pandemic.

David Keane, Cheshire's police and crime commissioner, is launching a weekly virtual question and answer session with Chief Constable Darren Martland.

Residents are being asked to email question they would Chf Con Martland to respond to ahead of the first session on Tuesday, April 21.

Mr Keane said: "As we face a time of great uncertainty, it’s more important than ever that members of our communities have the opportunity to ask key questions of their police service.

"The coronavirus pandemic presents great challenges, not just to policing but also to our everyday lives, and we need to reassure people that policing resources are being managed effectively and efficiently to keep us all safe during this period.
