KNUTSFORD town councillor Elizabeth Beswick, who is a GP at Middlewich, says many lives will be saved if people stay at home during the coronavirus lockdown.
Cllr Beswick is a member of the environment committee on the town council, and is encouraging people to follow the government and NHS advice on coronavirus.
Cllr Beswick works at Waters Edge Medical Centre in Leadsmithy Street, Middlewich.
She said: "It is so important that everyone follows the government guidelines and stays at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
"It is heart-breaking to hear the stories of families who have been impacted by this disease. It is so contagious. Please do stay at home and many lives will be saved."
