A CAR was torched in an early morning arson attack in Winsford.
Firefighters were called to Chiltern Way at around 3.30am and found a car which is believed to have been deliberately set alight on a driveway.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and were at the scene for around one hour and 15 minutes.
Anyone with any information into the cause of the fire is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 674486 or visit https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
Around 10 minutes later, crews were called to a garden fire on Leaf Lane.
On arrival crews found a wheelie bin which was well alight and the fire had also spread to a nearby garden fence.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze and spent around 30 minutes dealing with the incident.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a disposable barbeque which had been put in the bin earlier in the night.
Fire safety advice was given to the homeowner.
