MOVE over Boris Johnson – these Moulton youngsters are getting the message out loud and clear that we all need to stay at home.

Davenham Primary School youngsters Chester, 6, and Rex Parry, 5, have produced their own TV advert urging us all to keep safe in the coronavirus pandemic.

The video shows the pair sing We’ve Got the Whole World in our Hands while wearing masks with the Prime Minister’s face and each holding a cut-out globe, before breaking out of character to tell us to ‘stay safe – stay at home’.

Mum Kerry Parry told the Guardian: “Obviously they are both home from school so I’m trying to keep them entertained.

“They loosely know what is going on, that we have to stay at home, so I gave them the challenge to make a TV advert that would make people stay at home if they watched it.

“They love it and their friends have seen it – but now they are asking when it will appear on TV.”

Chester came up with the ideas behind the finished video.

He is no stranger to the camera, having appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, in an Aldi TV advert with Olympians Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee, and working with Everton.

“He has done it since he was six years old because he was such an extrovert,” Kerry added.

“He is only six so time will tell if he wants to carry on doing it, but while he is keen and eager now it is something I support.”
