A garage is offering free car check-ups for people working on the front-line in the battle against Coronavirus.
Walsh Auto Engineering on Cleveland Street in Birkenhead is offering a comprehensive check over on vehicles for NHS staff and all key workers without charge.
The check will involve each car being put on a ramp and given a thorough examination on tyres, steering and brakes by their qualified staff, as well as extras such as screen wash being topped up.
The offer is not just for NHS staff but all key workers, including supermarket staff and teachers.
Ben Stott of Walsh Auto Engineering said: This is in light of the new MOT extension and the government’s warning that cars must be in a roadworthy condition or drivers face very large fines and prosecution.”
There is no need to book an appointment, but drivers should bring with them proof of being a key worker, such as an ID card.
