CHESHIRE Police Bike Cops are helping to enforce the coronavirus lockdown rules.

The Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team said on Facebook: "To help us tackle those that insist on putting lives at risk, our colleagues the cpbikecops will be assisting us in enforcing the rules.

"They have the equipment and skills to ride places that even our team might struggle on occasion to get to.

"It's now really clear as the advice has been updated - don't travel to go for exercise.

"If you think you're going somewhere isolated in the hills, you may come into contact with someone who has travelled from another part of the UK thinking the same thing.

"They may infect you or visa versa, thus spreading it across the country.

"As ever the team are here to support our farming and rural communities through these challenging times.

"If you're caught breaking the rules, let's be clear, you will be held responsible for your choices and actions."
