POLICE are monitoring a street in Hartford after receiving reports that it is a hotspot for groups gathering.

All gatherings of more than two people, other than those you live with, are currently barred following new measures implemented by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

But this has not deterred some people in the village, who have been spotted gathering in the area around the roundabout bisecting Northwich Road and Beech Road.

They have since been and reported to the police by several residents.

A tweet by Hartford and Greenbank PCSO Michelle Gillett reads: “Several reports have been received regarding groups of people gathering at this location.

“This will be my office for the morning whilst I complete my admin work and reply back to all queries received.”
