MIDDLEWICH Rose Fete and Children's Festival 2020 has been postponed due to coronavirus.
The event was due to take placed on Saturday, May 16.
A spokesman for the festival said: "It is with enormous regret that the Middlewich Rose Fete Committee have decided to postpone this years Children’s Festival due to take place on Saturday 16th May.
"All members of the current retinue and the retinue elect will be contacted directly by the committee with further details.
"Thank you all for your ongoing support and we hope everyone stays safe during this difficult time."
Children from schools across Middlewich and beyond took part in a selection day.
In the coming weeks we will be meeting the boys and girls chosen for this year's retinue.
Ella Preston, a pupil at St Mary's Primary School, has been selected as the Rose Bud.

The five-year-old said: "I wanted to be the Middlewich Rose Bud so that I could be a princess. I also
wanted to meet new friends and make everyone proud.
Ella said she loves swimming, kickboxing, painting and spending time with family and friends.
"The person I admire the most is my mummy because she is beautiful and daddy because he is lovely," she said.
