A DELAMERE woman says that she is ‘thrilled and privileged’ to have scored the role of manager at a well-respected care home.

Carla Middleton will take up the reins at New Care’s Formby Manor Care Centre, where she will lead her dedicated team of qualified nursing and caring staff.

Carla, who has a wealth of professional qualifications including a degree in health and social care, will also ensure that the ongoing provision of care for all residents remains high-quality.

And she will call upon her experiences in looking after some of the community’s most vulnerable people with neuro-disabilities, brain and spinal injuries and mental health conditions to do so.

Commenting on her appointment, Carla says: “I am thrilled to have joined the New Care team and am privileged to be part of the company’s exciting journey.

“For a few years I have wanted to work for New Care as we share the same ethos, but the right opportunity just wasn’t there, until now.

“As manager at Formby Manor, I am looking forward to working with the outstanding team already in place.

“Together, by combining our knowledge, expertise and commitment, we hope to carve out a reputation for the home as one of the best in the country.”

Chris McGoff, CEO at New Care, added: “Carla has vast managerial experience in several different settings, so she is well versed to lead the team at Formby Manor.

“Her career history is impressive, and she brings with her an enviable skill set with plenty of strengths.

“I am confident that her passion for providing exceptional care combined with her innovative vision, will ensure she quickly becomes a real asset to New Care.”
