NORTHWICH residents have praised messages of hope and positivity appearing on streets in the town centre.
Those of you passing through the town centre this afternoon, Thursday, may have seen a person writing the sayings onto the pavement in chalk.
It comes during a time of worry and uncertainty during the current coronavirus pandemic.
However the mystery artist has been praised for his attempts to raise morale by encouraging residents to remain positive.
When circulated on social media, one Northwich resident said: “This brought a smile to my face. It really is the little things.”
Another added: “Cutest thing ever. Smiling from ear to ear. So glad to see this instead of pictures of empty shelves and bad news.”
These images were snapped by passers-by on High Street:

The first features the words ‘don’t worry be happy’, taken from the popular Bobby McFerrin song of the same title.

The second reads: ‘and still the birds are singing and the flowers blooming’.
Also spotted in the town centre were the sayings ‘be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud’ and ‘smiling is infectious’.
