A SKILLS, jobs and opportunities fair takes place at Northwich Memorial Court on Friday, April 3.

The free event, hosted by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Skills and Employment team, takes place between 10am and 3pm.

The fair will bring together local businesses and jobseekers. Businesses will be able to promote their employment opportunities and find the right candidates to fill their current vacancies.

Cllr Richard Beacham, CWAC cabinet member for regeneration and growth, said: “The fair will be perfect for people hoping to find a fresh start, a new job, or a different career.

“Job seekers will find a wealth of exciting opportunities at the job fair. There will be employers eager to meet and chat about immediate opportunities in a wide range of fields.

“The council has provided support to organise this event, come and chat with our Northwich Work Zone who offer a range of services including tools to assist both jobseekers and employers with the entire job search process, internet access, local papers, career assessments, as well as workshops on job searching, CV writing and interviewing techniques and much more.”

Some of the businesses confirmed for the day include Morrison’s, Barclays, McDonalds, Home Instead, Weaver Vale Housing trust, The Army, Brio leisure, XPO, NHS and ABM (Manchester Airport).
