POLICE have released the shocking CCTV footage of an attempted robbery at a supermarket in Barrow.
The CCTV footage of an attempted robbery investigation at Co-Op Foods in Harrel Lane, Barrow has been released.
The incident occurred on Sunday February 9 around 10.20pm.
An unknown person attacked two members of staff as they were closing the store.
Police would like to speak with the persons pictured as part of their investigations.
A team leader, who works at the Co-Op in Harrel Lane, revealed the staff are all 'shook up' by the events.
She said: “The staff are all shook up from what happened.
"We’re all quite on edge and frightened."
She said the store hired a security guard in the immediate aftermath of the attack.
"We did have a security guard for the first week for safety reasons," she said.
"Thankfully both staff members are back working but obviously still shook up."
