SEVEN care homes in St Helens and Prescot require improvement, one is inadequate but two are outstanding, according to reports on healthcare watchdog the Care Quality Commission.

The remained of the 43 homes in the borough and Prescot are classed as good.

Parr Care Home in Parr and Avondale Mental Healthcare Centre in Prescot have both been rated as outstanding, the highest possible result.

Whereas Eccleston Court Care is the only inadequate care home within the borough currently.
