PUPILS at Comberbach Primary School were ‘toadally’ fascinated when a special visitor came to visit.

To mark National Storytelling week, the school welcomed storyteller 'Creeping Toad' into the classroom for an afternoon of literary fun.

The children were enchanted by his ‘ribbiting’ original stories, which were brought to life with a selection of artefacts.

And inspired by this, the children then went on to tell their own stories.

“We are delighted that the magic of telling stories has been captured during this week,” said assistant headteacher Yvonne Simpson.

“It was lovely to hear the inventive tales of the storyteller and to see the children applying what they had learned through their own creative writing."
