A SIX-year-old boy who set up a dog box in Taylor Park for community pets is now looking to spread the puppy love throughout the borough thanks to well wishers.
Queen’s Park Primary pupil Joshua Forster loves dogs, particularly his auntie Ainsley’s dog Rex.
Ainsley regularly does the school run with Joshua from The Shires and his sister Keira and while doing that she walks her pet dog Rex.
Joshua decided to come up with an idea to help his aunties and other dog owners who walk their pets in Taylor Park – by setting up a box with a lid where people could leave their wet dog toys for themselves and others to use.

After Ainsley’s Facebook post sharing his antics was shared on social media by the likes of the RSPCA, a man got in touch to donate vouchers to kind Joshua.
Ainsley Corrigan, 27, said: “Joshua has a busy day ahead of him sorting all the new dog toys for the boxes.
“After it was shared a member of the public from London saw Josh’s post and sent him £35 Amazon vouchers to use on the dog box and £25 more to get himself a little treat for being ‘such a kind boy’.
“But Joshua just said ‘well I could just use all of the money on dog toys because a treat for me is going to the park to play with the dogs’ which was just so cute.
“So that’s exactly what he did! Josh now has a mission to set them up in as many places as he can in the borough.
“Especially in this day and age he’s so inspiring, he’s only little but I think more people should be more like Josh.
“He’s definitely on a mission to get these dog boxes everywhere.”
