A TEENAGER who was bullied throughout high school over his weight has spoken about how he turned his life around.

Alan Richmond was 19st 5lbs at the age of 16 and was eating up to four takeaways a week in an unhealthy diet that involved junk food and fizzy drinks.

But after finishing his GCSEs, Alan took action before starting his mechanic course at Wigan and Leigh College in a bid to avoid being the target of more abuse from fellow students.
