A MAN is in hospital being treated for serious injuries following a police chase in Alderley Edge on Sunday (yesterday).
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "At 10.32am police were called to an alarm activation at a travel agents in London Road, Alderley Edge.
"A man was on the premises on arrival of officers, and subsequently left the building via a first floor window.
"Police made a search of the area with the help of a police helicopter and search dog.
"Following the search, officers arrested a 40-year-old man from Rhyl in a back garden at a property on Congleton Road and recovered property believed to be stolen.
"The suspect was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. With such cases the incident is referred to the IOPC as a matter of course."
