LIVERPOOL Cathedral has its art in the right place as a breath-taking, soaring inter-active visual experience will capture the imagination of all ages.
In 2020 the Cathedral will be hosting a new and exciting art project with internationally-renowned sculptor and artist Peter Walker.
Peace Doves is a mass participation art concept culminating in the creation of a beautiful large-scale art installation that will hang from May 8 to 31 inside the Cathedral.
During the half term (Monday, February 17 to 21) the Cathedral Education Team is holding several dove-themed family a to city sessions where children with their parents or carers can write messages of hope, peace and love on the paper doves provided.
Each family session is free and lasts 30 minutes.
Jude Knight, Communications Manager, told the Globe: "Liverpool Cathedral is free to enter and there's child- friendly trails if you want to spend some time exploring the building."

Peace Doves launched on Valentine's Day and until April 19, the Cathedral will be inviting people to visit and write their messages of peace, hope and love on the paper doves of the project's title.
Peter Walker, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors will join the thousands of doves together to create the large-scale installation above the Cathedral Well ready for its official opening on the 75th anniversary of VE Day on May 8, 2020.
Peter first created the 'Peace Doves' installation in the UK's only medieval three spires cathedral.
Consisting of 20,000 paper doves, the artwork was suspended in the nave of Lichfield Cathedral between December 2018 and January 2019.
Messages of peace were written by schoolchildren from more than 70 schools from the surrounding area.
