FIREFIGHTERS were dispatched to a property in Rudheath to tackle a chimney fire yesterday, Thursday.
One fire engine from Northwich Fire Station arrived at the house on Shipbrook Road at approximately 4.20pm.
Using chimney rods, the crew extinguished the fire from the fireplace and monitored the temperature on the roof.
The crew also gave the residents advice about the dangers of a poorly maintained fire and fire safety in the home.
