CHILDREN from Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School were excited and delighted to meet the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall whilst visiting The Tower of London.

Year 6 pupils are on a residential trip to bring their learning to life as they are currently reading The London Eye Mystery.

Youngsters were able to get up close, take pictures and chat to Prince Charles who laughed and joked with them.
Prince Charles asked children where they had come from
The children plan to visit Buckingham Palace, take in a cruise along the River Thames and capture a bird's eye view of the city from the London Eye.
This is a trip they won't forget
One evening, they plan to join theatre goers to watch the West End show Mary Poppins.

Deputy headteacher Cerri Morris was as delighted as the children to bump into Prince Charles.
Mrs Morris said: “We had already planned such an exciting itinerary for our lucky year 6 children but meeting Prince Charles was the icing on the cake.Yet another wonderful opportunity.”
