PRIMARY school children have created artwork inspired by the theme ‘Standing Tall’ for this year’s Art Trail.

Paintings and three-dimensional work will be on show in shop windows from February 3 to February 28, as in the previous two years.

Each school was invited to produce two pieces of art – one each from Year 2 and Year 4.

Town mayor Cllr Kevin Rimmer will launch the event at 1.30pm on Monday, February 3, from Northwich Art Shop.

Following the Art Trail leaflets will take you through the town centre, starting at Jack Gee Cycles near The Plaza and ending up at Curtain Magic near the Bull Ring.

The schools have also been invited to exhibit this work at the Weaver Hall Museum gallery during the summer.

Phil Carswell of Visual Arts Cheshire said: “VAC is delighted to produce this event once again, and wish to thank the schools, the participating businesses, Northwich Art Shop, Northwich BID and CWAC for their support.”
