PUPILS at Rudheath Senior Academy are learning to play the guitar.
Rudheath and Witton Together Trust granted the school funding to develop musical opportunities.
Music for Life are providing tuition for the whole of year 7 to learn the guitar over the next three months and their skills will be showcased in a concert in March.
The funding will also be used to provide a Samba and vocal workshop which students are extremely excited about.
Music teacher and musical director Laura Pim, who recently set up the Pitch Perfect school choir, said: "They are really enjoying the guitar lessons and are making fantastic progress.
"I hope it will inspire a lifelong love of music."
Students will showcase their skills at an evening concert in March
It is one of many new projects and changes which have taken place at the Middlewich Road school since it joined North West Academies Trust (NWAT) in November 2018.

One of the highest performing trusts in the country, NWAT has a proven track record of improving schools, and Rudheath is already making strides.
Steve Docking, chief executive officer of NWAT, said: “We believe every child deserves the best possible education, and we’re working extremely hard to make Rudheath the best it can be. This is another step forward.”
