TWO men have been arrested after allegedly threatening staff and launching tables and chairs at a town centre bar and the Village Hotel.
At around 9.50pm last night, Sunday officers were called to a public house on Friars Gate following reports of a disturbance.
A 22-year-old man from Penketh was arrested on suspicion of a section 39 assault, public order offences and possession of cannabis.
A 21-year-old man from Great Sankey was also arrested on suspicion of public order offences.
It is believed that both males were also involved in an earlier incident at the Village Hotel.
They are alleged to have threatened staff, launched chairs and tables about and assaulted an off-duty PCSO.
