METRO Mayor Steve Rotheram continued his re-election campaign with a special question and session featuring students from Widnes.
Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form quizzed the Liverpool City Region's Metro Mayor at Cronton Playhouse theatre.
Upon his arrival, Mr Rotheram was introduced to a range of students studying various courses across both campuses.
A spokesman said: "As part of his campaign, Steve believes in 'offering young people real opportunities to succeed’ and this belief was demonstrated in a question and answer session about the upcoming election and the plans he is looking to put in place if he is re-elected as Metro Mayor.
"The students saw this as a great opportunity to ask the Mayor questions on future plans including job opportunities in the Liverpool City Region, his opinion on the Northern Powerhouse and how the growth in apprenticeships will effect students in the local area."
Ben Barton, deputy head at Cronton Sixth Form said: "It was fantastic to welcome Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Steve Rotheram to our College as part of his ongoing re-election campaign.
"Our students asked some brilliant questions and engaged really well with Steve, we look forward to welcoming him back to the College in the future."
