PLANS to create a hand car wash and valeting operation on a supermarket car park have been withdrawn.
Proposals drawn up on behalf of Waves Valeting Services sought permission to create the facility on the car park of Asda on Kirkland Street, St Helens.
Proposals were to change the use of some car park spaces for the hand car wash and valeting operation, along with the installation of a cabin and canopy.
Plans had said: "The introduction of the car wash will create new and sustainable economic growth in the area; it will have
a positive impact on local employment creating an estimated four full-time and four part-time jobs".
Plans have been withdrawn, with the applicant asked to speak to the case officer should they wish to resubmit.
