DRAMATIC images releases by Cheshire firefighters shows the scale of the devastation at a timber frame mansion destroyed by fire.
Fire crews have been damping down and checking for hotspots using thermal imaging cameras after tackling a huge blaze at a Cheshire country house wedding venue near Tarporley .
Police had to close the A51 in both directions around Tilstone House in Nantwich Road, Tilstone Fearnall as fire crews from across the county arrived to tackle the blaze from just before 8.30pm on Sunday, January 12.
The A51 Nantwich Road, is now open but has been subject to temporary lights today.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has released images of the devastating fire that tore through several floors of the 19th century mansion.
Ten fire engines from Tarporley, Nantwich, Chester, Winsford, Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Northwich, along with an aerial appliance from Chester, fought the fire at the timber frame building.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The below images were taken by crews who reviewed the building with the aerial ladder platform today. Fortunately no hotspots were found.
Firefighters have also been removing loose roof timbers and using a 13 and a half metre ladder to gain access to the second floor.
Yesterday, crews were continuing to monitor the building for hotspots due to the nature of the structure.
