THIS weekend will see a vintage toy collectors fair head to Northwich, with many classic childhood items on display.

Everyone has a favourite toy from their youth, whether you grew up playing with Action Man figurines, Star Wars models, diecast trains or doll houses.

And you can now relive your childhood as collectors and stall holders flock to Northwich for the first time in 30 years.

“Collectors in the area have been calling for an event like this for years,” said organiser Steve Howard.

“Because we have good ties with Northwich through running the local Comic Con, we thought why not bring it back to the town.

“Events like these act as a meeting place for like-minded people to chat and enjoy a hobby.”

He continued: “Collectors fairs always attract a good mix of people, both old and young, and we will have stall holders travelling from as far away as Scotland and Wales.

“Everyone played with toys growing up, and for me, it was toys based around the original Star Wars series.

“If all goes well, hopefully we can continue with this new event and hold more in the future.”

Northwich Toy Collectors Fair will be held at Memorial Court on Saturday from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Admission for visitors aged 12 and over will cost £2, while those aged 11 and below can enter for free.

Visitors are also invited to bring their unwanted items for valuation or to sell.

Those who wish to sell larger collections can enquire about hiring a stall by contacting Steve Howard on 07846772568, or via
