A LEADING independent travel agency has revealed that it plans to move into Barons Quay.

Barrhead Travel run a number of branches across Scotland as well as Liverpool, Burnley and Barrow, and claim to be the UK’s leading independent British travel agents.

Plans have been submitted to erect an illuminated fascia sign displaying the company’s name above the doorway of a currently vacant store next to Card Factory on Leicester Street.

And the store’s Facebook page says that staff are excited to get started and look after the travel needs of the people of Northwich.

“Hello Northwich. We are Barrhead Travel - the holiday and tailor-made travel specialists,” a post reads.

“We’re delighted to welcome your local travel specialists back to Northwich.

“Our team has over 100-years experience and are excited to be back doing what they do best – looking after you and your travel needs.

“Whilst we’re preparing our new store for a big launch, the team are available to help you find the perfect holiday and can take bookings now via Facebook messenger.”

Northwich Guardian:

Another post adds: “Sean, Becky, Sarah, Katherine and Marie have over 102 years combined experience in travel and we’re so excited to be back in the community, opening our new Barrhead Travel Northwich store in the near future.”

Barrhead Travel have been arranging breaks for holidaymakers for over 40 years, and Witton councillor Sam Naylor says the move is another step forward for Barons Quay.

“This is yet another indication of Barons Quay moving forward,” he said.

“The good thing is that the precinct will not just offer retail, but also a good selection of other offerings to bring people into the town.

“We are under pressure to protect our town centre, as is every other authority in the country.

“Northwich Town Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Northwich BID and Barons Quay are all working really hard together and we are all positive about 2020.”
