A LAW firm has gained recognition from top industry bodies – including a notoriously tough directory.

Chesterway-based Susan Howarth and Co. has this year cracked the prestigious Chambers & Partners directory, as well as earning another promotion in the Legal 500.

The promotion, from Tier 4 to Tier 3, cements the firm's place among the finest in the UK.

Published annually, The Legal 500 ranks the top 50 law firms in the UK, recommended purely on merit and reflecting a detailed process of research, analysis and assessment conducted in accordance with strict guidelines.

Director Susan Howarth is also recognised as a 'Leading Individual' in the list.

And for the first time ever, the firm has been acknowledged as a 'Recognised Practitioner for Family Law expertise’ by the Chambers & Partners directory 2019/2020.

Acknowledgement in Chambers & Partners is described by the company as a major feather in the cap – calling it arguably the industry’s most prestigious directory covering 180 jurisdictions throughout the world.

Director Susan Howarth said: "This is a phenomenal achievement for the whole team.

"We are all immensely proud that we as a firm have attained this level of recognition in such esteemed legal directories."

Both directories are widely acknowledged as the definitive guides that identify and rank the most outstanding law firms.

Susan Howarth and Co. was established in 1997, building a strong reputation as one of the best family law firms outside of the cities.

It offers a full spectrum of services to both private and publicly funded clients and benefits from a Family Law and a Mediation contract with the Legal Aid Agency to increase access to legal aid.
