CHRISTMAS has arrived in style for Kingsmead residents, with plenty of festive cheer on show at the village’s lights switch-on event.
Residents flocked to Kingsmead Square for the popular annual tradition, run by the parish council to usher in the season.
The evening of celebration on Friday, December 6 featured a bar with mulled wine, pancakes, a coffee van, and sweet treats courtesy of Tatton Perk coffee van and Pretty Princess Cakes and Bakes.
The light switch-on was accompanied by a Hollywood selfie mirror and musical performances from 4.30pm on Friday, including from the Kingsmead Primary School Band, 17-year-old singer/songwriter Sam McLaughlin and band The Avenue.
A very special guest also made an appearance, as Santa opened up his grotto.
A Kingsmead Parish Council spokesman said: “Thanks to everyone that came to to the Christmas light switch on last night and to all those who supported the event.”
