FORMER pupils of Goostrey Primary School were able to see schoolchildren from yesteryear at St Luke’s Church Christmas fair.
Goostrey Parish Archive delved into its extensive collection of local images to put together a display in the lounge at the village hall covering more than 100 years to the present day as an added attraction for visitors.
The fair proved a huge success with visitors crowding into the hall even before the official opening.
The archive display of images, as well as the room where the collection is stored, had a constant flow of villagers interested in rekindling links with the past.
The theme of the display concentrated on events and photographs from around the school, the church and Church Cottages where some villagers have family roots.
