CHILDREN’S charity leaders are appealing for more chocolate for a Christmas party.

Helen Crowther, fundraiser at The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), said: “This year’s Selection Box Appeal is going so well – so far we’ve received just under 1,500 selection boxes.

“This is an amazing figure, but is down on last year’s total, when we collected 3,895.

“The people of Knutsford have been so generous already, and we’re very grateful to everyone who has donated so far, but we need more chocolate please.

“The selection boxes we collect will be given to the children visiting us at CAFT for a Christmas party this year, as well as those from communities around the region who can’t get to a party, such as those from Claire House Hospice who we recently visited, and local foodbanks and other charities.

“Our drop-off point in Knutsford is the CAFT Charity Shop on Canute Square.

“Whilst we’ve listed Friday, December 13 as our cut-off point for donations, the shop is open on Saturday, December 14, so we’ll still gratefully accept donations on that date.

“Selection boxes can also be dropped off here at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust on Reddy Lane in Millington until December 13.”
