A RUDHEATH teenager has been crowned Mr Charity UK after competing in a national modelling competition.

Edward Schofield also finished third in the main Mr Model Guy UK category as the winners were announced at a ceremony in Runcorn.

The 16-year-old, who is currently studying at Reaseheath College in Nantwich, won the charity award after raising over £180 for his chosen charity of Breast Cancer Now.

“He is quite a shy lad but was asked to join a modelling agency a couple of years ago and everything has gone on from there,” said Edward’s mum, Lynne.

“Going into the charity category, he was quite confident of winning, but it was still a huge shock for him to hear his name being called out as the winner.”

Northwich Guardian:

Doing so well in the competition obviously meant a lot, not only to Edward, but to his family who were there to support him.

“For him to have won the charity category and to have done so well in the main category is just amazing,” Lynne added.

“All of the family are really proud of him and both me and his nan were almost in tears watching the winners being called out.

“He really enjoys what he does and is hoping to carry on modelling in the future.”
