CAPTAIN Emily Rudge became the first England Women's international to score four tries in a Test match as her side kicked off their historic tour of Papua New Guinea with a hard-fought 24-10 win in front of a near 7,000 crowd in Goroka.
Warrington-born back-rower Rudge, who studied at Cardinal Newman High School and plays her club rugby with St Helens, was supported with further tries from Danielle Anderson and Rachel Thompson.
England, who led 8-0 at the break before adding a match-winning 14 extra points in the second half, play the second Test in Port Moresby next Saturday.
