DETAILS have now been confirmed for Northwich’s very first ice rink.

The feature, which is sure to be popular with residents, will head to the town as part of this year’s Northwich Christmas Extravaganza.

Located in Barons Quay opposite H&M, the rink will prove to be a realistic alternative to real ice.

And we cannot wait to try it out in the run up to the Christmas holidays.

The rink will be open between 2pm and 9pm on Friday, November 22, and from 12pm through to 7pm on both Saturday 23 and Sunday 24.

Tickets will cost £5 for adults and £3.50 for children aged 12 years and under.

They are available to pre-purchase now until Thursday, November 21 at Northwich Town Council’s offices at 78 Church Road, which is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase from Barons Quay between Friday November 22 and Sunday November 24.

Each ticket will allow 30 minutes skate time with a 15-minute changeover time.

The Ice Rink’s manufacturer states: “In a world where energy efficiency and global warming have become a real concern our product is energy conscious and environmentally friendly.

“With Super-Glide you get a true real alternative to wet ice but with none of the damage to the atmosphere associated with global warming.”
