NORTHWICH Folk Club is looking forward to a special night of harmony singing tomorrow night, Friday.

Headlining the event on Friday, October 18 will be Close Quarters from Lancashire.

Sandra and Steve Harrison started singing with Judith Gleave and her husband Pete in the early 80s.

Known as Quartz, they appeared at festivals and clubs around the country.

After the loss of Pete and now with Jen Wilson, as Close Quarters their sound has regained its fullness with harmonies and choruses aplenty.

Close Quarters have stepped up to replace The Deportees, who were unable to play for health reasons and have been rebooked for next year.

Close Quarters will be supported by Dan Benatan.

Dan is an American singer-songwriter based in Runcorn. He performs with his guitar and leans strongly toward folk/rock with Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen and Jim Croce significant influences.

Your host for the evening is Steve Wilde.

Tickets are available via danarts.org.uk at £7 or £6 for club members.

Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm start at the Harlequin Theatre on Queen Street.

All are welcome. For more, call 01606 74258 or see northwichfolk.co.uk
