A NURSERY is seeking the public’s help to win a national award after being chosen as a finalist for one of this year’s National Nursery Recognition Awards.

Family-owned nursery Footsteps Nursery Wilmslow is one of seven nurseries shortlisted for the Innovation Recognition Award. The winner will be decided by a public vote at nationalnurseryawards.co.uk/nominate/vote

Nursery director Evelyn Davies said: “we are very excited to have been shortlisted for this award and it is particularly special as this is our first year in our wonderful new state-of the-art nursery building.

“The children are at the heart of everything we do and their happiness and wellbeing is our top priority, which is why we invested in our new purpose-built setting with the latest technologies including a high quality CCTV and the latest Biometric Entry Systems as well as an amazing art studio and high end furnishings.

“It’s amazing to see how far we have come since opening our doors back in 2000.”

The National Nursery Recognition Awards celebrates the hard work of nurseries in the UK, recognising the contribution of professional childcare providers and community members.

There are 130 nurseries hoping to win one of 19 awards which will be announced at a ceremony at Athena in Leicester on January 18, 2020.
