A MAN is in a critical condition after being found collapsed on a Latchford street.

Police have appealed for help from members of the public, with mystery surrounding how the 54-year-old man suffered serious injuries.

He was discovered on Bridgewater Avenue shortly before midnight on Saturday, October 12, before being rushed to Warrington Hospital – where he remains in a critical condition.

His next of kin have been informed, and officers are attempting to establish how he was injured.

Detective inspector Julie Jackson said: “If you were in the area of Grange Avenue or Bridgewater Avenue between 11.15pm and 11.50pm that night and saw how the man came about his injuries, or indeed anything that stood out as unusual, I would urge you to make contact.

“If you have dashcam footage which you feel may assist then please submit it through our website.

“Obviously it is very concerning and distressing for the family that he is so seriously injured and with no real understanding of how this happened.

“We really need to find out how this man came to be injured, not only for his family’s sake, but also to determine whether or not there was any third party involvement.”

Anyone with information is urged contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number IML537969, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
