BENTLEY'S Farm Lane in Higher Whitley is set to close on Monday so that work to replace a telegraph pole can commence.

A full closure is expected as a team from BT Openreach undertake the work.

It is not clear how long the work will take, and it is estimated that the road will be closed for between three and five days.

A notice issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council reads: “The closure will come into force on Monday, October 14 and will be in force for a maximum of five days.

“It is anticipated that the work will last for approximately three days.”

A diversion is in place which will see motorists drive northbound on the A559 Northwich Road up to the roundabout for junction 10 of the M56 at Stretton.

Drivers can then use Tarporley Road and Raddel Lane to reach the other side of the closure.
