PLANS have been submitted to bring a Witton Street building back into use.
The proposal for 144 Witton Street, next to St Wilfrid’s church, would see the ground floor converted to two retail units with two flats upstairs.
The corner plot – previously used for retail – sits at the junction of Witton Street and Church Road, but has run into disrepair while remaining vacant.
If approved by planners at Cheshire West and Chester Council, the proposal would mean one shop becoming 144 Witton Street – with a door reinstated – with the other 2 Church Road.
Meanwhile, residential access would be from the back of the building via a staircase, with two two-bedroom flats proposed.
