SINGER songwriter Rod Picott returns to the Davenham Theatre on Monday, October 7 as part of his extensive 2019 UK and European tour.

Seventeen years ago Nashville-based Rod dropped his tool belt, picked up an acoustic guitar and released his first album, Tiger Tom Dixon’s Blues.

The acclaimed debut put a nail in the coffin of his construction career and ignited his second career as a singer-songwriter.

Rod's latest album, his eleventh, Tell The Truth and Shame The Devil, is by far his most intimate recording, being stripped to the bone, just vocal, guitar and harmonica, and the Davenham show will be set up to reflect this.

Now in his 50s, Rod has built up a loyal audience across the USA and Europe. He tours tirelessly and continues to garner rave reviews for his songwriting skills and darkly humorous, compelling live show.

Doors open at the Church Street theatre at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Advance tickets are £10, or £15 on the door. To book visit danarts.org/events/rod-picott-in-concert/
