MORE than 1,000 primary school children came together for a fun run at Moss Farm – guided by an Olympic gymnast who learnt her trade in Northwich.
Beth Tweddle, who attended Hartford Gymnastics Club before winning bronze at London 2012, and fellow Team GB star Amy Tinkler were special guests at the GO Run for Fun event.
Pupils aged between five and 11 came together at Moss Farm on Wednesday, September 18 to take on the 2km run.
Beth and Amy each led a warm up routine for the morning and afternoon events, at 10am and 1pm, cheering the participants as they started the run and throughout the route.
The gymnasts also hosted a question and answer session after the events so the children could pick their brains about how they started their athletic journeys and what they enjoy the most about their sport.
