It may have been a damp day on Sunday but that didn't stop people from turnout to participate in the Oswestry Community Games 2019.
After last year's event was cancelled due to bad weather, organisers were determined to host this year's gathering which brought local sporting groups to the fore and gave visitors the chance to participate.
Director Clive Knight said: "I really hope people do come down to take part, we just want to encourage people to do more.
"The organisations have been brilliant, they are really supportive and committed to making this happen."
Mayor of Oswestry, Councillor John Price, welcomed the event, adding: "It's fabulous; there is something for everyone.
"It's a worthy event and it's great to see people enjoying themselves."
Guest of honour this year was Di Carrington, who was part of a team that broke three world records when they rowed across the Atlantic over the winter of 2017/18.
Di, who is due to climb Mount Kilimanjaro later this week, was seen getting involved in numerous activities over the course of day .
