A FREE poetry writing event will take place at St Helen Witton Church this weekend – with everybody welcome.
The flexible day will include everything from optional workshops to the chance to enjoy the surroundings of the Grade I-listed medieval church – the heart of the community for more than 700 years.
Anyone aged from 10 upwards and of any writing experience is invited to attend on Saturday, September 14, with the chance to learn off beginners and experts alike.
It is hoped that – subject to permissions – work produced on the day will eventually be put on display in the church, and/or published in a small anthology.
You can drop in and out any time between 10am and 4pm or stay for the day, with the event supported by Rudheath and Witton Together.
