IT’S time to get your aprons on as The Salty Dog gears up to join in with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – with a twist.
The bar in High Street will be hosting an event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support and the new Carer’s Coffee Club on Friday, September 27.
The fundraiser will feature a competitive twist, with bakers encouraged to rustle up a batch of 12 cupcakes to be submitted at the bar by 11am on the day.
Whoever’s creations are eaten first in the Salty Dog Bake Off will win a £20 bar tab.
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest fundraiser of the year, with bakers up and down the country helping to boost the services on offer.
In the past, up to £30 million has been raised through the initiative in a single year.
