A CHARITY walk is being held to raise funds towards the restoration of the tower at St Leonard's Church.

The annual Warmingham community charity walk takes place on Sunday, September 15.

After the success of the inaugural event last year, people are invited to come along and enjoy the sights and scenery of the beautiful countryside around the village.

Organiser Janet Furber said: "We need over £200,000 to restore the church tower.

"We had around 70 people last year. It was a good turn out.

"We all go for sandwiches and chips afterwards in the Bear's Paw."

Walkers meet at 3pm in the field opposite the Bear's Paw.
