THE manager of a residential care home in Winsford has raised almost £2,000 for charity.
Cath Burns who runs Overdene House on John Street braved the shave on Wednesday at a Mad Hatter's coffee morning.

"The day went really well and everyone had fun," said Cath, who has worked at the home for two years.
"I do lots of charity work. I can't run anymore so I thought I'd shave my head again.
"I've done it because we are all affected by cancer at some time or other.

A buffet lunch was available for a small charge and cakes and sweets were on sale.
The event raised £1,950.

"£1,550 will go to Macmillan Cancer Care and £400 to a comfort fund for residents. People are still being very generous popping in and handing me money so the total is rising.
